While working at AOL, it came clear to me that although there were attempts at creating group cohesion in the design dept their were those of us who sat separated from the main group and felt it necessary to ensure we were part of the larger group. SO the DUHH was born. Generally with just those AOL folks. But as folks moved on and out of AOL it became clear they still wanted to stay intouch with those folks they clearly created a bond with. Inaddition folks also desired to invite other folks that weren’t involved int he intial group but shared similar likes and interestes, i.e. a creative living and working in NYC.

And what has it become today. Well it has more or less existed for two years now and has recently launched a Facebook group that boasts 96 members currently. And it grows a little every day. Not sure if everyone will show up but its the thought counts right.

Its really tht simple. Folks getting together for cheap drinks that have a vague connection to eachother by working in the industry. And sometimes not. Very unofficial.
